Essential Knowledge in Year 5 Maths
This term the children will begin by learning about multiplication and division. They will look at multiples, factors and prime numbers, in addition to multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1,000. Following this, the children will begin their first block of fraction learning. Practising recognising equivalent, mixed and improper fractions.
