Essential Knowledge in English Year 5
In our writing lessons this half term, the children will be writing a diary entry in the role of a Greek soldier. They will use a series of drama sessions using freeze framing and speech bubbles to explore the thoughts and feelings of the soldiers sat inside the Trojan horse.
The children will also write an explanation text outlining the events of the Trojan war, using language to demonstarte cause and effect.
