Shelley Pyramid Boys Football Tournament

A big well done to both the Year 5 boys Football teams who played fantastically on Tuesday 17th April at Shelley College even despite the mud!  Our B Team came a respectable 9th and our A Team won every match they played but they unfortunately the final result was based on goal difference as 2 other teams had won every match too!  After a nail biting drum roll, the boys came 3rd.  Well done everyone!

Huddersfield Town Premier League Primary Stars Football competition

On Tuesday 31st October, eight Year 5 boys competed against several other teams from across Kirklees in the Huddersfield Town Premier League Primary Stars football competition.  They enjoyed being inches to the Premier League Champion throphy which was last won by Chelsea.  The boys learnt some interesting facts about the trophy, including the meaning of the 3 different coloured ribbons carefully placed on the handles of the trophy, the coloured ribbons correspond to the colour of the winning football teams socks, shorts and T-shirt.  Well done boys - you played brilliantly, showing great sportsmanship.

KS2 Girls Football

On Tuesday 3rd October, the Year 5 girls went to Shelley College to participate in the School Games football competition.  The girls  played brilliantly and their enthusiasm admirable!  Most notably, there was some excellent defending and the girls should be really proud of themselves as a team.  The next School Games girls football event will take place at the end of March which the girls are looking forward to training for. Well done girls!
