Bee Update

We have our very own bee hive at Shepley. At the moment it is a reasonably small colony (ten thousand or so - yes we've counted them all) but with any luck by next summer it may be big enough to start producing honey for us. We are currently helping the bees stock up for winter by providing them with sugar-water. As the weeks grow colder our bees and their queen will huddle together in order to stay warm enough to survive the winter. Here's hoping we will see the queen and her ladies again in the spring!
